Department of Health and Aging: Maternal and Infant Health – This section of the Departments website outlines some of the major activities which are being undertaken by the Australian Government towards improving maternal and infant health.

Queensland Maternal and Perinatal Quality Council – Aimed at clinicians, the QMPQC purpose is to: (1) Collect and analyse clinical information regarding maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity in Queensland to identify state-wide and facility-specific trends. (2) Make recommendations to the Minister for Health on standards and quality indicators of maternal and perinatal clinical care to enable health providers in Queensland to improve safety and quality. Queensland Maternity and Neonatal Clinical Guidelines Program – Aimed at clinicians, the clinical guidelines are designed to provide guidance and recommendations for the care of individuals by health care professionals. These guidelines have been developed by multidisciplinary work groups in collaboration and consultation with relevant stakeholders.

Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Queensland) – The registry records and maintains life event registrations in Queensland and issues live event certificates.

Stillbirth, miscarriage and neonatal death support services
